Mansi Deshpande, an interior designer is a product from School of interior design, Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology, (CEPT) Ahmedabad.
I have worked in luxury interior segment for 8 years in Mumbai with Ramesh Edwankar and later became the partner in his firm. During this period I worked on high end residences (bungalows and apartments) and offices in Ahmedabad, Pune and Mumbai. This gave me an opportunity to understand the requirement, trends and mind set of the upper class and luxury loving society. Most of the time these interiors were modern and contemporary and inspired by the designers in Europe. While working on a project for the Bombay Presidency Golf club, Chembur, I got deeper understanding in designing classical style of interiors for the restaurant, bar and banquet hall.
I was inspired to practice more of classical design and thus designed the suites and a Presidential suite of the Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore in Neo Classical way. Although the executive rooms of this hotel were given a contemporary look.
While in Bangalore, I was consultant to CDE for their hospitality vertical. I have travelled to visit various interior exhibitions in Italy, Germany, U.K, Belgium, Hong Kong, Singapore ,Malaysia and China. Mansi Deshpande Design Consultancy was started in August 2007 with a team of 3 Architects. Today the firm is proud to have completed more than 20 projects in residential, retail and hospitality sector.
